Patancheru witnessed a spiritually uplifting and socially significant moment as the 3rd Dhamma Yatra passed through the town, drawing enthusiastic participation from residents, youth groups, and Buddhist devotees. The yatra, which began on February 2, 2026, in Gulbarga, Karnataka, is progressing toward its destination at Buddhavanam, Nagarjuna Sagar, covering nearly 450 kilometers.

The arrival of the monks and pilgrims in Patancheru was marked by a grand welcome organized by the Patancheru Ambedkar Youth Association. Participants received the monks with flower garlands, resonating chants of “Jai Bhim,” and Buddhist devotional songs, creating a vibrant and respectful atmosphere.
A key highlight of the event was the presence of BRS leader and MDR Foundation Co-Founder Maadri Prithviraj, whose participation added significance to the gathering. Addressing the audience, Prithviraj underscored the timeless relevance of Gautama Buddha’s teachings, noting that they embody peace, non-violence, equality, and brotherhood.
He remarked that in a time when society faces growing intolerance and divisions, the principles of Buddhism provide a lasting moral and social compass. He urged the youth to actively adopt these teachings and contribute positively toward building a harmonious and inclusive society.
Prithviraj also expressed his sincere hope that the yatra would successfully reach Buddhavanam, spreading the powerful message of peace, unity, and fraternity across the nation.
The program saw participation from several dignitaries, monks, local leaders, youth representatives, and members of MPR Yuva Sena, reflecting strong community support for the spiritual journey.
